The Fishing Social Network Dedicated to Fisherman and Fishing

Based on warming water satellite photos and some remarks by commercial pangeros I headed out of Muertos yesterday in search of dorado. Beautiful day, flat water, breezes that would barely ruffle the cejas of El Guapo. Took my new fishing buddy, "D Rex" out for his second panga trip. We took 10 dorado to 25lb. on Archer bars and bait, another of our boats caught 6 to 35. OH BOY! Yellowtail, pargo, cabrilla, dorado, even saw 2 marlin but couldn't interest them. Pictures below of D Rex and customers. D Rex has no hat.

Well I'm glad you finally gave "Dog" a fitting name. He seems to be enjoying himself. Did Enriche enjoy his company as well? That was a good day. Stay healthy and see you again. John Mc.

I think that it was one of you guys who helped name him. He was dragging somebody across the patio by the pants cuff and I asked him "please don't eat the customers" and the victim said, "yeah, like Jurassic Park", the rest was history.

David,
So you gave Dog the name. Interesting that he is on Enrique's panga, he really is a smart dog!
Heard a rumor that he had eaten the house, thought maybe he had been banished to the beach or someplace more exotic. Hope Jane and Kelly survived the feeding!
Nice looking catch! Lions and Tigers and Bears Oh My! Looks like you are off to an awsome season, You and D are definitely not in Kansas or the Bay Area anymore.

It was his second time. He ate most of a 4 pound bonita, off the cob, fell in once, and was generally very good company, other than falling in love with the sponge that Enrique uses to plug his drain hole. We kept feeling water on our feet, look down 3" of water in the boat. Look at dog, he's chewin' on the plug.

If you desire to have D Rex stop eating the drain plug, I would suggest bringing several empty plastic bottles. Of course the noise might be a problem and you may have to fetch him out of the sea multiple times. On the bright side, the noise might attract fish, allowing Enrique to save his whistler and you won't have to stand in water!

He likes plastic bottles, but the attention he got everytime he took the plug was clearly an effort to train us. A little gasoline on the plug and he didn't want it anymore. Now I just gotta pour gasoline on all the clients, furniture, my car, and Jorge.
